This September, which is womb cancer awareness month, we would like you to hold a peach themed tea party and help raise awareness. It doesn’t have to be anything huge or fancy; maybe just a few female friends and family round at your place, or a meet up in a local café. You could of course go full on peach and hire a hall, bake lots of cakes, and invite half the neighbourhood, if that’s what you want!!
No one organises tea parties for womb cancer like they do for other cancers so this year we have decided to do it ourselves.
It’s not about raising money – it’s about raising awareness. Despite womb cancer being the most common gynae cancer, with over 9,000 women a year being diagnosed there is still very little awareness about it. There is still this misconception that it only affects post-menopausal women and we have to change that because it can and does affect much younger women.
So, pick a date in September and help us raise some much needed awareness. When you have chosen your date get in touch and let us know and we will supply you with awareness leaflets and invites and a few other bits and bobs to help the party go with a swing.
You can be as inventive as you like and theme the whole party or just settle for a cuppa and a cake. It is entirely up to you.
We’d love to see some photos of your event and will post them on the website and the FB page.
Go peachy for womb cancer awareness and help us #GiveWombCancerAVoice.
