Who we are and what we do.
Womb Cancer Support UK was founded in April 2011 by womb cancer survivor Kaz Molloy. We are a national not for profit organisation and our aims are two-fold: 1) To provide support, advice and information to women who have been diagnosed with womb cancer. 2) To raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of womb cancer so that women can be aware of the risks and know what to look out for. In 2012, WCSUK became a partner in the One Team One Goal worldwide coalition building campaign to unite .gyneacological oncology practice and advocacy groups, and in Feb. 2013 we were very pleased to be honoured as One Team One Goal Advocacy Champion (Europe). WCSUK is also a member of Cancer52 a group of more than 80 organisations working together to help improve outcomes for patients with the less common cancers. In April 2014 we joined the Scottish Government Cross Party Group on Cancer. In July 2014 we became an affiliate member of The James Lind Alliance In August 2014 we became a Globe-athon Ambassador In Nov 2014 we joined the Cancer - 2 Million Reasons campaign. You can find out more about it here. |
We have a great social media presence and work mainly through Facebook and twitter.
We also have a private chat group on FB where a group of over 200 women can chat in complete privacy and support each other. We are also on HealthUnlocked in a bid to reach out to women who don't "do" Facebook. Please come over and join our community here. You can contact us at anytime by using the contact form or emailing wcsuk@hotmail.co.uk |
