September is Womb Cancer Awareness Month
Many cancers have an awareness month or week and womb cancer is no different. September is our month and International Womb Cancer Awareness day is 20th September. Our awareness colour is peach.
2018 will be WCSUK's 8th Awareness campaign and each year we try and raise as much awareness as we can.
We does most of our awareness raising via social media but in 2013 we had our first meet up in Birmingham.
Women from across the UK descended on Birmingham to help raise awareness and generally have a good time.

We went back to Birmingham again in 2014 and we had another wonderful weekend of raising awareness..

We returned to Birmingham in early September 2015 for our 3rd annual meet up and to do some more awareness raising.
We had an amazing day in the sunshine and met lots of good sports who were willing to have their photographs taken with us to help raise awareness.
As usual the peach knickers were waved about - some very frilly ones were in evidence in 2015!

In 2016 we had not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 awareness events - on each Saturday throughout the month of September.
Our intrepid Peach Sister Clare travelled the country to help raise awareness of womb cancer. Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow were her stop off points. Sadly the weather wasn't too kind for 3 of the 4 events but she didn't let the side down and did her best.
In 2017 one of our lovely ladies held a series of womb cancer awareness events in her local library in Romford.
She held some craft sessions and had a good turn out and raised a lot of awareness.
