Last Saturday saw the first of our awareness events. Peach Sisters descended on Birmingham, unfortunately so did the rain. After spending a bit of time in our usual spot opposite the Town Hall by the fountain the ladies had to admit defeat and they decamped into New Street Station. They did however manage to speak to people and hand out leaflets, which is what it's all about.
Fingers crossed that the weather is a bit better this Saturday as the peach Sisters go south to London and Trafalgar Square. If you can make it there anytime between 10am and 4pm then they would love to see you.
As I said, our social media has been buzzing, especially yesterday. The Eve Appeal are using #WombWednesdays to highlight womb cancer throughout their September Gynaecological Awareness campaign and they had asked me to write a blog post for their website to help kick it all off. You can read it here https://eveappeal.org.uk/blog/guest-blog-wombwednesdays/
Twitter was very busy and we gained 12 new likers on the FB page yesterday and 3 new ladies joined the private chat group.
So the first week of womb cancer awareness month has been very successful so far and we still have another 3 weeks to go.
